At the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, our mission is to inspire and enable people in Qatar and across the world to understand the importance of physical activity to their lives and help them to value and take responsibility for being physically active for life. Physical Literacy is the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility to be physically active for life. Physical literacy is something that we all possess. We are all able to engage in physical activity, but some of us are more confident to do so than others. The 3-2-1 Obstacle Course will help people to explore and challenge their own physical literacy. 321 obstacle course will promote the Olympic values — Respect, Friendship, and Excellence through our obstacles that highlight and reinforce these values.
Olympic Values Flow through the Obstacle Course
Encourage participants to respect the rules and demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout the challenge. Participants are required to strictly adhere to the rules to complete the tasks. These include prohibitions against skipping obstacles, pushing others, or disregarding guidelines that emphasize teamwork, such as stopping to assist a teammate who falls or struggles. The course incorporates a "penalty" for failing to follow the rules or skipping steps, reinforcing the value of fair competition and mutual respect. At 3-2-1 Obstacle Course, respect is a core value, emphasizing the importance of rule adherence, fair play, and treating others with consideration during the challenge.
Strengthen the spirit of friendship and collaboration by requiring participants to work together to overcome key sections of the course. Participants navigate a series of challenges that demand teamwork, such as helping each other climb over walls, maintain balance on beams, or guide one another through tunnels. These obstacles are designed to encourage mutual support, fostering an environment where kindness and empathy are essential. At 3-2-1 Obstacle Course, the emphasis on friendship highlights the role of collaboration and connection in sport. By working together, participants build bonds that transcend individual effort and celebrate the unifying power of teamwork, regardless of background.
Encourage participants to reach their full potential by emphasizing personal achievement and the pursuit of excellence. A timed section challenges participants to complete tasks with both accuracy and skill, including navigating an agility course, mastering a balance beam, or maneuvering through complex obstacles. These activities are designed to push participants to perform at their best, balancing speed with precision. To promote excellence, each challenge is structured to demand a combination of focus, technique, and determination. Participants' times are recorded, fostering a spirit of self-competition and encouraging continuous improvement. At 3-2-1 Obstacle Course, the value of excellence shines through as participants are inspired to push beyond their limits, achieve their personal best, and savor the sense of accomplishment that comes from setting and reaching their goals.
